Xinging Preparation for Tibet


Quiet sleepy, sleepy, quiet town which was going to be our entry point to Lhasa. Nothing
really to do here especially in the off season. Realized how cheap some of the snacks could
be in China. Bagful for 15 yuan. Also realized that certain varieties of bananas were on the
other end of the spectrum in terms of cost. Good eating though.
Hotel and atmosphere was pleasant enough and the city night lights view didn't ache the eyes.
The bed however was the hardest on record to date. At least if you paid for concrete you knew what
you were in for. This night would leave us with sore hip bones and aching spinal chord.
